Cake Pops
Cake-Pops are the latest thing in the baking section. You can even order them online, but for kinda overpriced even though its pretty simple to make it yourself. Besides that its better for your pocket! ;)You don´t need to bake the cake for the Cake-Pops yourself, you can also use a finished product but selfmade cakes are the best ! :)
Ingredients:
11 oz. baked pastry case (Here´s a link with a good recipe but as we said above you can also buy a finished product.)plastic lollipop sticks
milk- or bittersweet chocolate couverture (You can use white chocolate couverture aswell.)
sliced almonds and/ or other stuff for garnishing
Variation 1
2 oz. soft butter
5 oz. cream cheese
2 oz. confectioner's sugar
1 tbs. rum or any baking extracts
Variation 2
6-7 oz. jelly (apricot, orange, etc.)
Preparation:
At first crumble the pastrey into a bowl. For Variation 1 mix all ingedients together and add it to the crumbled pastrey. Mix it up to a "dough".
For Variation 2 add the jelly to the crumbled pastrey until it got the right texture. Every pastrey is different so the amount varies.
Now ball the dough into small balls. Melt a little bit of the chocolate and dip the lollipop sticks (only the tip) and stick it into the balls. This is important so tha balls won´t fall off the sticks.
Put the Cake-Pops into the fridge for atleast 30 minutes.
Melt the chocolate, dip in the Cake-Pops and stick them into a piece of styrofoam.
You can also use a cake-pop-holder.
And your homemade Cake-Pops are done! :)
Of course you can try out a lot of different variations. Use your imagination. :)
Very delicious is a lemon cake with the cream cheese creme, covered with white chocolate or you can also use brownies to make your Cake-Pops.
