Simit - Turkish Sesame Roll

Simit - Turkish Sesame Roll

Ingedients:

1 kg Flour
50 g Yeast
50 g Sugar
25 g Salt
200 ml Oil
450-500 ml warm water, depending on dough´s consistency
200 g Üzün Pekmez (Grape sirup)
100 ml water
500 g Sesame


Directions:

- Mix dough
- Roll out cut to useable pieces
- Roll pieces out to long thin strips
- Spin them into circles (for this watch this video)
- Dip in pekmez/water mixture
- Coat with sesame seeds
- Bake at 200°C for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown
